learning through creating art

During this class, we were given the oppertunity to stray a little from our usual subject, in order to encorporate art into our lesson. Little did we realize, this project helped us to learn more about teaching future students than we would have ever expected. Not only did this project help me to remember my own expirience as a student, but it also helped me to relize the importance of incorporating subjects, such as art or music into my own classroom. This is actually a very important idea, givne that all schools may not have art, health or music teachers, therefore we should encorporate these topics into thier daily learning as best we can. As stated in the 2nd educational goal, it is important to encorporate other subjects into our lesson plans in order to give our students a better developed understanding of the subject. Projects such as this really do help in that process.
