This is a picture of me working on a word puzzle, using lego blocks in my EDS 227 class.

Here, Dr. Starnes has proposed a word puzzle that the class is expected to figure out. This particular puzzle asks to demonstrate all of the possible ways four friends, who go to the movies together, can sit in the same row. It is imortant to notice that she did not simply hand out a worksheet, but she gives us the chance to use lego blocks in order to represent each friend. Not only will this stratagy make the project more interesting, but it also gives each student the oppertunity to see exactly what they are doing and will help the fix any mistakes they may make. These are important factors when it comes to Educational Program Goal # 3, elements of authentic learning.
