This is Jessie, showing off her mobile that represents the good and bad teaching qualities and how she wants to be when she is a teacher.

The assignment to create a mobile that represents good and bad qualities a teacher may possess and what qualities we want to have after becoming teachers was a wonderful one. I really enjoyed this project, as did many others in the class. It really helped me to stop and think deeply about what I wanted to represent to my students. I was also able to look back on my past expirience with the teachers I have had over the years and see what type of impressions they made on me, and how vividly I can remember being in thier class, whether it was because they were such a wonderful and understanding teacher, or because they possessed charactoristics that weren't so great.
I learned lots from this project. However, I feel the thing that sticks out the most is the huge impact that teachers have on thier students. Everyone who presented thier mobile seemed to have a specific teacher in mind when discussing each charactoristic they represented on thier mobile. I feel that this goes to show how important it is for a teacher to be a positive role model for thier students. If you act in negative ways, it may effect your students for the rest of thier lives.
I feel that this particular activity helps to build foundations of learning. You can never really learn the lesson that this portreys through lecture or readings out of a book alone. It takes the oppertunity of expiriencing being with a teacher, good or bad, and then thinking deeply about the ways they effected you personally.
